Prepping for the Best Senior Portraits!

A High School Senior Portrait Session is a great opportunity to capture special moments and memories that you and your family can cherish for years to come. There are some important things you should do when prepping for the best senior portraits to ensure you look and feel your best. Here are some tips to help you prepare for your upcoming photoshoot:

1. Choose Your Outfits Wisely

Your outfits can play a huge role in how you look and feel in your photos. Choose something that makes you feel confident and comfortable, and avoid anything that doesn’t highlight your best features!

2. Get a Good Night’s Sleep

Lack of sleep can make you look tired and can lead to dark circles and puffiness around the eyes. Aim for 7-8 hours of sleep the night(s) before your shoot to help you look and feel refreshed.

3. Hydrate Your Skin

Drinking plenty of water in the days leading up to your photoshoot can help keep your skin hydrated and glowing. Avoid sugary and salty foods, which can cause dehydration and puffiness.

4. Prepare Your Hair & Makeup

Whether you’re doing your own hair and makeup or hiring a professional, make sure you have a plan in place and allow enough time to get ready. Choose makeup and hair styles that complement your outfit and make you feel confident.

5. Practice Posing

Take some time to practice your poses and expressions in front of a mirror. This can help you feel more comfortable and confident in front of the camera. But don’t worry, I’ll pose you and prompt you so you look incredible!!

6. Communicate with Your Photographer

Let your photographer know what kind of photos you’re looking for and any specific shots you want to capture. This can help them plan the shoot and make sure you get the photos you want. I love when my clients create Pinterest boards and share them with me!

By following these tips, you can prepare for your photoshoot and feel confident and ready to shine in front of the camera. Remember to relax, have fun and enjoy the experience – after all, a great photoshoot is a memory you’ll cherish for years to come!
